Applications are now open for our Inspector Process 2023.
We are welcoming applications from individuals who can demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate large, diverse teams of officers and staff; improving performance at every level to reduce crime, protect the vulnerable, improve public confidence and deliver high levels of victim satisfaction.
This opportunity is open to exceptional substantive sergeants looking for promotion, or substantive Inspectors who are keen to join us on a level transfer.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference, bring new ideas and help shape the future of policing in the force.
Awareness Session
An awareness session will be hosted on Wednesday 29 November 2023, from 5.30pm online via Microsoft Teams. Here, you will have the opportunity to hear our Chief Constable Chris Noble talk about the role and the process, and get the chance to ask any questions.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 9am on Friday 8 December 2023.
A written assessment will then take place between 12 and 14 December 2023. Followed by the interview and briefing exercise process for successful candidates which will be taking place between the 22 January and 9 February 2023.

Join the Positive Action session for the Inspector Process
Staffordshire Police have a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion that runs throughout our everyday policing as well as through the organisation. We encourage people to bring their whole selves to work, valuing different approaches, perspectives and ways of working.
We are running an online, positive action pre-application support workshop for the Inspectors Process. This will be for those who wish to apply or thinking about future applications.
We would like to encourage candidates who are; women, LGBT, Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic or have a disability and wish to apply for our Inspection process, to attend our positive action workshop.
