Vehicle Technicians

Vehicle Technicians service, maintain and repair all vehicles to support the delivery of Joint Emergency Transport Services across Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The workshop is based in Trentham Lakes, Stoke-on-Trent.

Working as a vehicle technician you can expect to:

Complete a varied service, maintenance and repair work on any fleet or equipment at the workshop or suitable off-site environment
Carry out road testing of vehicles and MOT assessments
Help to keep the fleet safe and operational
Provide on call support for the combined fleet on a rota basis
Comply with all aspects of Heath & Safety and statutory requirements
Take part in necessary training and keep up to date with technical developments within the automotive industry

Qualifications

City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Technical Certificate or other relevant qualification.

Skills and Experience

We need people who:

Have knowledge of vehicle maintenance and stores establishments
Enjoy working as part of a team
Can communicate effectively using written, verbal and IT skills
